The Yemeni Armed Forces launched two operations against “Israel,” targeting Ramon airport and Tel Aviv in response to the occupation entity’s crimes in Gaza.
Through a statement on Wednesday, May 7, Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e announced that the Yemeni Army, in support of the Palestinian people, targeted the Israeli military airport Ramon in Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat), in southern occupied Palestine, with two drones.
“In the second operation, a vital and strategic target of the Zionist regime in the occupied city of Jaffa (Tel Aviv) was attacked with a Jaffa-type drone,” he said.
Yemeni naval and drone forces also carried out a military operation on Tuesday against the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier and US warships in the northern Red Sea, using a ballistic missile and several drones.
Brigadier General Sare’e explained that the operation was in response to the US aggression against Yemen and its crimes against the Yemeni people.
He also announced that this operation succeeded in thwarting a US airstrike against Yemen, shooting down a US F-18 fighter jet, and causing the US aircraft carrier to flee to the northern end of the Red Sea.
Regarding the second lost US fighter in just over a week amid the Yemeni attacks, Brigadier General Sare’e explained that the F-18 fighter jet crashed due to the state of confusion and panic prevailing among the enemy ranks during the Yemeni operation.
“This operation was carried out before the US enemy announced the cessation of its aggression against our country, and the Yemeni Armed Forces affirm that they will not hesitate to carry out harsh and painful attacks against the US enemy in case it resumes its aggression against our country,” he explained.
The Yemeni commander reaffirmed Sana’a’s commitment to continuing military operations until the Zionist entity ceases its aggressions and lifts the blockade on Gaza. “We maintain our unwavering support for the Palestinian people,” he asserted.
“We will continue to prevent the Zionist regime’s navigation in the Red and Arabian seas, as well as maintaining the air blockade on Lod (Ben Gurion, Tel Aviv) airport,” he said.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have carried out numerous operations in support of the Palestinian people since November 2023, a month after the start of the Israeli war on Gaza. Yemen has struck targets throughout occupied Palestine, in addition to attacking Israeli-linked ships heading to ports in the occupied territories.
