Venezuelan Vice President Delcy RodrĂguez debunked a fake news published by the US newspaper Miami Herald, calling it part of the “psychological warfare against the Venezuelan people.”
“FAKE!! Another media outlet joining the garbage dump of psychological warfare against the Venezuelan people. They have no ethics or morals; they are exclusively for lies and carrion,” RodrĂguez wrote on social media on Thursday, October 16.
Refuting Miami Herald’s report of supposed internal divisions within chavismo, the vice president emphasized that the Bolivarian Revolution has a “compact and united political-military high command centered around the will of the people.”
“Nothing will deter us from our path in the unwavering defense of Venezuela’s rights and our dignified Bolivarian historical legacy. A united Venezuela is winning!” she added.
Debunking the Miami Herald
RodrĂguez’s message comes after the publication of an article in the Miami Herald, which claimed that senior Venezuelan officials, including the vice president and the president of the National Assembly, Jorge RodrĂguez, had allegedly promoted secret overtures to Washington to offer “Madurismo without Maduro.”
According to the outlet, the talks were reportedly conducted through intermediaries in Qatar, with the aim of proposing a political transition that would be “more acceptable” to the United States.

The empire’s media and psychological warfare
Vice President RodrĂguez flatly dismissed the story. Posting a photo of herself alongside President Nicolás Maduro, she wrote, “My response to the liars and schemers. Together, united with President Maduro, consolidating Chávez’s path! We have not been defeated, and we will not be defeated.”
The Venezuelan authorities have repeatedly denounced that the international mainstream press distorts the reality of Venezuela to justify unilateral coercive measures and covert operations promoted by the United States.
In the context of constant imperialist aggression, President Nicolás Maduro, during a meeting of Venezuela’s Council for Sovereignty and Peace on Wednesday, urged all sectors of the country and the international community to carry the truth about the Bolivarian nation to every corner of the planet.
President Maduro joins Dailymotion
On Wednesday, President Maduro activated his official channel on the digital platform Dailymotion, a communications alternative where he will post news, speeches, activities, and messages.
The channel is for sharing the truth of Venezuela without censorship or restrictions, thereby strengthening the people’s direct access to the president’s words and the country’s most relevant events. A few weeks ago, YouTube unilaterally decided to shut down President Maduro’s channel on its platform.
Dailymotion represents a censorship-free space where users can directly access the president’s messages and activities, as part of a transparent and participatory communication effort aimed at overcoming the media corporations’ blockade against Venezuela.
