Former far-right opposition presidential candidate Edmundo González failed to comply on Tuesday with the second summons he had before the Venezuelan Attorney General’s Office by not appearing as dictated by a memorandum issued by the Public Ministry (MP) on Monday.
The summons, issued from the 58th Prosecutor’s Office with full national jurisdiction, indicates that the citizen whose identity card is V-2029003 was required to appear on August 27 at 10 a.m. in order to answer questions regarding the facts being investigated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office related to the publication and maintenance of the website resultadosconvzla.com and for the alleged commission of the crimes of usurpation of functions, forgery of public documents, instigation to disobedience of laws, computer crimes, and criminal association and conspiracy according to a statement by the courts.
The statement indicated that the charges are related to a criminal case identified with file number MP-138657-2024.

It should be noted that the former candidate also did not attend a first summons to provide a statement regarding the aforementioned events, which could lead to criminal sanctions, according to Venezuelan laws.
González Urrutia recently published a video on his X account, where he made it clear that he is “not going to appear before the summons of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.”
It is not yet known whether the Prosecutor’s Office has issued a new summons to the former candidate.
