The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, ratified on Saturday the invitation to Michelle Bachelet, High Commissioner for Human Rights of the United Nations (UN) to visit Venezuela and verify directly the social programs that are being run in the country.
This invitation was made during a meeting he held with representatives of the United Nations System at the Miraflores Palace in Caracas.
“I sent her a letter and I told her to speak with the Chancellor of the Republic, Jorge Arreaza, in a meeting he had with her in Morocco on the occasion of the World Summit on the issue of migration, I sent him to say she could come to Venezuela whenever she wanted,” said the head of state.
The president said: “These visits to the countries are to find concrete solutions, institutional visits of the highest level to help Venezuela. We will always be willing to accept the help,” said the national president during the meeting this Saturday in Miraflores.
