“The National Electoral Council, one of the five branches of the Venezuelan State, congratulates the heroic people of Venezuela for their civility and extraordinary participation in the mock election of this Sunday, June 30, showing the world its deepening of democracy amid the presidential elections,” said Elvis Amoroso.
CNE Vice President Carlos Quintero reported that the Electoral Power has complied with 74% of the schedule, which began its last phase of the drill yesterday. Quintero added that the simulation covered 58% of Venezuela, with voting centers in all of the country’s parishes, with 10.5% of the tables and 8% of the voting centers activated.
He noted that 400 more voting centres and 1,000 more polling stations had been opened compared to the last mock election.

Regarding the transmission of data, Quintero pointed out that they obtained important data after the evaluations this Sunday. Specifically, they confirmed that the CNE has the capacity to deliver the results of the upcoming presidential elections to Venezuela in the shortest possible time.
He added that there are still core activities to be completed. Audits of the electoral register are scheduled for this Monday, followed by internal tests. The deployment of machines in the states will begin on July 4, and the electoral materials will be sent on July 6.
“We can say that we have met the fundamental goals that were outlined,” he added.
