During the broadcast of his weekly television program Con Maduro+, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro said that the far-right politician, María Corina Machado, is in Colombia conspiring and planning to finance future plots through drug trafficking.
“She is a criminal who is currently plotting. She left the country to conspire, she left the country to look for dollars in Colombia from drug trafficking sources,” warned the head of state during the program broadcasted this Monday, November 12.
The president said that María Corina Machado is “moving around to see if she can order a terrorist bomb to be placed,” as part of her “crazy, ambitious, lustful and excessive” idea of reaching power.
In this regard, he confirmed that there must be law, justice and order in Venezuela. He added that he will not hesitate to ensure that “there is timely and severe justice.”
It is worth noting that Machado has not been seen publicly for more than two months, only posting things on social media platforms.
Machado and former presidential candidate Edmundo González are carrying out a plan to violate Venezuela’s sovereignty on January 10, 2025.
Recently, Edmundo González admitted that he is touring several countries as part of a “campaign” to pressure and seek attacks against Venezuela, although he describes it as his “commitment to the Venezuelan democratic cause and to respect the popular will expressed on July 28.”
González himself announced that during these trips he has sought to legitimize the opposition narrative of the electoral results, in which he claims to be the winner of the July 28 presidential election.

For her part, María Corina Machado and Leopoldo López have ratified their violent plans for January 10, after calling for the construction of a movement inside and outside Venezuela, so that they can direct their forces.
Machado urged the militants of this political organization to “put all their strength” into January 10.
“January 10 is an important milestone and we have to put all our efforts in that direction,” said Machado during her participation in an online event along López.
