The Superintendency of Banking (Sudeban) ordered the “bank system to start within 10 business days a plan that allows all operators and payment systems to get interconnected and getting all the electronic routing made within our country”.
“Given the threat -by US Government- to the payment platform, we must prepare our financial system to seek its independence, since it currently depends on the operation of franchises such as Visa and MasterCard,” said Superintendent Antonio Morales.
