The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, announced the names of the candidates of the national list for deputies of the National Assembly who will be running for the Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB) for the upcoming May 25 elections.
Publishing the list on Thursday, April 10, Cabello highlighted that, this time, the number of candidates in the national list increased from 48 to 50 because the Guayana Esequiba state will be represented in the National Assembly for the first time. “In the lists there are cooks of the Homeland, fishers, commune members, artisans, sexual minorities,” Cabello said. “They will go all over Venezuela to campaign.”
He explained that the proposals presented from the bases and received through surveys, opinion polls, proposals coming from the GPP, from social movements, “from the real country,” were reviewed for the finalization of the candidates.
