This Saturday the Venezuelan basketball team earned its second victory in the qualifying rounds for basketball’s Copa América , a competition scheduled for 2022, by beating its Chilean counterpart by a score of 86-77.

Through the Twitter account set up for the continental tournament, the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) described Venezuela’s triumph as a “huge victory.” The game went into overtime following a 64-64 tie at the end of regulation play.

The star of the game was Heissler Guillent, who scored nineteen points, had eleven assists and three rebounds, and accumulated a player efficiency rating of nineteen.
