The team won in three sets this Sunday from opponent Peru, in the Pre-Olympic Championship that is played in Chile, while the hosts beat the Colombian team so that first place was in the hands of Venezuela.
The men’s volleyball team joins Yulimar Rojas, Robeilys Peinado, Daniel Dhers, Orluis Aular and Andrés Lage as qualified for this year’s Olympic Games.
This is the second time that Venezuelan men’s volleyball is qualified for the Olympic games after having achieved it for the first time for Beijing in 2008.
