Venezuela Men’s Volleyball Team Qualifies for Tokyo 2020 (President Maduro Celebrates it)
The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that the triumph achieved by the men’s team that was granted its classification for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, makes all Venezuelan families’ hearts happy.

The team won in three sets this Sunday from opponent Peru, in the Pre-Olympic Championship that is played in Chile, while the hosts beat the Colombian team so that first place was in the hands of Venezuela.
The men’s volleyball team joins Yulimar Rojas, Robeilys Peinado, Daniel Dhers, Orluis Aular and Andrés Lage as qualified for this year’s Olympic Games.
This is the second time that Venezuelan men’s volleyball is qualified for the Olympic games after having achieved it for the first time for Beijing in 2008.
