Venezuelan Minister of the Interior, Justice, and Peace Diosdado Cabello, reported the arrest of 11 people involved in the latest sabotage of the National Electrical System (SEN).
During the transmission of his program Con el Mazo Dando on Wednesday, September 4, Cabello announced that the 11 people arrested for the August 28 attack on the SEN have been transferred to Caracas.
“On the day of the blackout, people knew that it was María Corina Machado who ordered the attack,” said the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).
He emphasized that justice will be achieved.
The minister pointed out that the attack against the SEN is a repeated plan of the “fascist ultra-right” to destabilize the country.

In this regard, he mentioned US Senator Marco Rubio as one of the conspirators, given that days before the attack he had announced the sabotage and “said what was going to happen in Venezuela.”
On August 28, there was an attack on a transmission tower on line 765 which connects Valle de la Pascua (Guárico, central plains) with Valencia (Carabobo, central north).
This sabotage affected the states of Táchira, Mérida, Barinas, Zulia, Falcón, Nueva Esparta, and parts of La Guaira, Miranda, and Caracas.
During the last few years the SEN has been repeatedly attacked. One of the most serious attacks occurred in March 2019 as part of Juan Guaidó’s coup attempt, which submerged the country in darkness for several days.
