July 1, 2020

A total of 21 AK-47’s weapons of war were seized by members of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc) in Puerto Cabello, Carabobo state, which were shipped by sea from the United States, aboard the ship ‘San Andres’.

This was announced by the Deputy Minister of the Integrated Criminal Investigation System, Commissioner Jose Humberto Ramirez, in statements broadcast by Venezuelan TV, where he detailed that 2 Glock pistols, 9mm caliber, were also seized along 110 magazines and 5,558 ammunition.

He stressed that all these weapons were destined for terrorist groups that aimed to attack the peace of the people of Venezuela.

In this regard, he emphasized that the Bolivarian government will continue to deepen the investigation to capture those responsible and guarantee the security of the nation. To do this, he reported that the authorities are coordinating with Interpol, so that, with the support of international institutions, all the people involved can be identified and captured.
