Venezuela: Health Authorities Coordinating Coronairus Strategy with Chinese Experts
This Tuesday the eight specialists who arrived in the country on Monday from the People’s Republic of China met with the Venezuelan health authorities to discuss the strategies that both countries are taking to contain the novel coronavirus in their territories. This was reported by the Venezuelan Minister for Health, Carlos Alvarado.
“This is the first work meeting with the eight specialists from China. We have presented the strategies that have been developed in Venezuela for the containment of Covid-19,” said the Minister of Health.
He mentioned that the first meeting was addressed to the General Staff of Health, in order to continue refining security and epidemiological protocols.
He added that the agenda will include meetings with epidemiologists in the country, those who make diagnoses at the National Institute of Hygiene, in addition, with the evaluation of clinical protocols for mild, severe and moderate patients.
He stressed that a very important element for the Venezuelan government to know is how they used traditional Chinese medicine to treat their patients.
He said that among the experts is Dr. Guang Mao, director of the Jiangsu province hospital in the Asian nation, which specializes in Respiratory and Critical Medicine. “Venezuela listens to specialists so as not to make mistakes, as well as to strengthen the protocols that we have been developing in the country to fight Covid-19,” he said.
