The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced that the next national consultation will be held on August 25 to vote for projects for 4,500 communal circuits.
During the first national meeting of the communal circuits on Saturday, July 6, President Maduro announced the date of a new national consultation so that each of the 4,500 circuits may elect a new project.
At the event held in Lara state, the president instructed Vice President Delcy Rodríguez to execute the allocation of resources for the realization of projects designed by the communities. He added that 220 communities have already completed their first project.
“Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, please proceed to deposit the money for the second project to those 220 communities,” President Maduro instructed.

He added that the National Popular Consultation represents the first step that will accelerate the financing process of the secondary projects proposed in the communities.

He also asked for the elaboration of better mechanisms of the existing communal circuits, by which the consultation system of these organizations will be improved.
“Democracy, elections, and People’s Power,” the president emphasized.

He stated that at this moment “we are in a process to accelerate changes and transformations in the country.” However, the most important proposals must come from the People’s Power.
He also highlighted the importance of trust when responding to all situations that arise in the communities.
