Caracas (OrinocoTribune.com)âVenezuela has condemned “Israelâs” plan to occupy Gaza after its security cabinet approved Benjamin Netanyahuâs proposal on Thursday, following over 10 hours of consultations.
In an official statement released by Foreign Minister YvĂĄn Gil, Venezuela “categorically condemns” what it called the “Netanyahu regime’s plan to occupy the Gaza Strip.” The Venezuelan government stated this action “intensifies the genocide against the Palestinian people and prolongs more than 77 years of barbarism imposed by the Zionist occupation since 1948.”
The statement emphasized that “in the past two years, this criminal policy has left over 60,000 civilians murdered, entire communities devastated, millions displaced, vital infrastructure destroyed, and an inhumane blockade that seeks to annihilate life in Palestine.”
Foreign Minister Gil added, “This occupation plan aims to erase the very existence of the Palestinian people and is intolerable to the conscience of humanity.”
Facing this strategy, Venezuela “demands that the regime responsible be immediately isolated politically, economically, militarily, and diplomatically. It reiterates the urgency of recognizing Palestine as a full member of the United Nations, with East Jerusalem as its capital, its pre-1967 borders, and the safe return of all Palestinians to their land.”
The statement concluded by urging “the Jewish people throughout the world to raise their voices against these crimes that betray their own history of struggle and suffering, and to join in the defense of peace and justice.”
This is the unofficial translation of the communique:

Venezuela demands that the regime responsible be immediately isolated politically, economically, militarily, and diplomatically. It reiterates the urgency of recognizing Palestine as a full member of the United Nations, with East Jerusalem as its capital, its pre-1967 borders, and the guarantee of the safe return of all Palestinians to their land.
We call on the Jewish people throughout the world to raise their voices against these crimes that betray their own history of struggle and suffering, and to join in the defense of peace and justice.

“Israel’s” decision to seize Gaza represents an escalation of its already genocidal military campaign, defying near-universal condemnation by the international community and humanitarian bodies.
Despite explicit warnings from the UN that this offensive will deepen famine conditions and force mass displacement, Netanyahuâs cabinet plowed ahead. This obstinacy underscores a regime prioritizing territorial conquest, racist supremacy, and disregard for humanity over Palestinian lives. The UN explicitly labeled the plan a “dangerous escalation” that risks even more atrocity crimes.
Domestically, the decision exposes Netanyahuâs reckless disregard for “Israeli” security and lives. He overruled military leadership, including IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, who warned that occupying Gaza would sacrifice “Israeli” prisoners and soldiers in a “meat grinder” while entrenching “Israel” in an unwinnable insurgency.
