
The new vice president of the National Electoral Council (CNE) was formally appointed this Friday through the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice.
He explained that it is a formal act and that this Friday he will meet with the president of the electoral body and that he hopes that during his tenure the best possible electoral process will be achieved.

“Expectations are to achieve the best possible process. My academic experience allows me to collaborate with the country and provide an electoral process that meets the country’s demands, ” he said.

He added that the established schedule will not be affected by the resignation of Vice President Rafel Simón Jiménez this Thursday.
After verifying an absolute absence, the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) appointed citizen Leonardo Enrique Morales Poleo as rector and vice president of the National Electoral Council (CNE).
